Canadian Certified Counsellor #11243776

Danny is a Canadian Certified Counsellor and holds a Bachelor of Education and a Masters in Educational Psychology (Counselling) from the University of Regina. As a U of R Cougar Women’s Basketball Alumni, Danny sees great value in being a part of a team and views the counselling journey much the same. She uses a person-centered approach to counselling and believes in meeting clients where they are at and tailoring her therapeutic approach to meet the unique needs and goals of her clients. She is committed to empowering her clients to overcome obstacles and develop healthy coping strategies in a safe and non-judgmental space.

Outside of counselling, Danny works as an Intensive Support Program teacher with Regina Public Schools supporting neuro-divergent students in her school. She is the co-founder of the POWER (Providing Opportunities Where Everyone Rises) Movement. This movement is aimed at empowering young girls to see and live out their true potential. She focuses her teachings on developing self-esteem, self-confidence, and self-worth while acknowledging the existing power dynamics in our society. She believes in teaching these skills in isolation and providing opportunities to practice them so that girls become more confident in implementing them into their everyday lives.
